Awesome People for the Day: Tyrone Power

Hiya Folks,

So, here's another APP - Tyrone Power [requested by Cheryl] being the subject of this one. This is the first APP in a long time in which I can actually say "I've seen some of this person's movies". It's also one of the only male APPs that I've been able to find enough pictures I liked of them alone that I didn't have to stick someone else on top to steal the limelight. Without further ado, Mr. Power:

NOTE: To those of you who are wondering why I picked the pictures I did. There is no explanation other than the fact that I was looking through a Tyrone Power tumblr and kept finding really interesting photos that I thought I should share. I may also make Ty an AP next week, because, really, this man took some entertaining photographs.

With his daughter.

Baby Ty. YES.

Like I said, I've seen a few of Tyrone Power's movies. I think I liked "Love is News" best - I remember really liking that one. I'm also eventually going to watch "Marie Antoinette"...

Ain't he handsome here?

Until Later On~

  1. Thanks for posting this, Natalie! It's funny - he had "the look" even as a baby. He made an incredible amount of films, and I'm really just getting to know him myself. Of the films I've seen, though, I haven't come across a bad performance from him yet.

  3. Tyrone Power had to be one of the most handsome men ever to grace the silver screen - or the Technicolor screen, for that matter. He is stunning in the b&w epic, "The Rains Came," even in a turban that seems a bit ridiculous, and in the full-color "Jesse James" he's an absolute dream. Great pix!

  4. Tyrone Power was a competitor in my Leading Man Tournament but he lost to Cary Grant sadly. The pictures are great though!
